Dr. John
Shufeldt MD, JD, FACEP, MBA -

Dr. John
Shufeldt is a practicing emergency physician at St. Joseph’s
Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona and Chief
Executive Officer of NextCare Urgent Care. He has held
numerous physician leadership roles, both in hospitals and
large emergency medicine practices. Dr. Shufeldt founded
NextCare in 1993, and continues to lead the organization as
its Chief Executive Officer. He has authored and co-authored
books on Children’s Emergencies and Emergency Physician
Employment Contracts. He lectures on a variety of subject
matters to graduate medical, business and law. He earned his
medical degree from the Chicago Medical School and completed
his emergency medicine residency at Christ Hospital and
Medical Center where he was Chief Resident during his third
year. John graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State
University in 1995 with an MBA, and completed his JD from
the ASU College of Law in 2005.

Rischard, RN, CMLT - Partner
Maureen
Rischard, RN, CMLT is a nurse at major hospital located in
Phoenix, Arizona. While working in the ED, she met Dr. John
Shufeldt, practicing physician, lawyer and CEO/founder of
NextCare Urgent Care. Having a similar vision of a medical
aesthetic practice staffed by healthcare professionals
offering the highest quality products.
Maureen has
since spearheaded the business development and operations
for NextAesthetics, facilitating the inception of the
NextAesthetics Training Institute and the opening of the
second NextAesthetics location and much more. She is a
member of the Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses, and
continues to train in advanced cosmetic procedures and
educational opportunities. "My goal is to provide the best,
safest, and most current treatments for my clients." We are
